The information you give here will form part of your re-homing contract with Appledown Rescue if the adoption takes place. By submitting this application, you are giving permission for Appledown Rescue to share the contents with other members of their team. The online signature section at the end of this form confirms that you understand and agree to all parts of the application including:

• a minimum 7 day break between reserving and final adoption, when we will expect you to visit at least a few times. This is also a “cooling off” period should you change your mind
• a home check (using Zoom over the internet where possible) before adoption and one follow up visit after adoption, as a minimum (more if deemed necessary)
• we aim to neuter all dogs before adoption, assuming they are old enough. You agree to neuter within 6 months for an adult or 12 months for a puppy if we have not been able to do this
• payment of a minimum donation of £220. This is an adoption fee, NOT a purchase price and goes towards the care of all our dogs

Please note: Appledown Rescue do not home dogs of over 5 months into families where there are one or more resident children below the age of 7 years. Applicants of 65 or over will only be able to adopt age appropriate dogs, generally 5 years and over for 70+ or 3 years and over for 65 – 69 inclusive. The dogs at Appledown Rescue are mostly strays and, therefore, have unknown backgrounds and possible problems. We will give you as much information as we can about each dog, but we do not live with them in a home.
