SPONSOR A KENNEL

For as little as £10/month, you can sponsor a kennel at Appledown. Schemes like this are a great way to support us because they provide a regular monthly income so vital in helping us to cover core costs and you get a little something back! You will receive a photograph of the dog currently living in ‘your’ kennel, exclusive newsletters and your name displayed in the “Frame of Fame” in our reception area.

JOIN OUR AUCTIONS

Our fundraising auctions have a become a vital way in which we can raise good sums of money. They generally run three times a year and are Facebook-based. We are always looking for donations of new or as-new goods, items to pop in hampers, vouchers for experiences such as a pub meal, a fun golfing day or a new set of nails! If you think you can help, please get in touch.
Then when the auction starts, come join in the bidding fun. Lots are always varied, something for everyone!

HELP OUT AT AN EVENT

There is always plenty going on in the year and so many opportunities for helping:

  • We run two dog shows a year, in May and September. Be part of the fun and help to run a stall such as the tombola, raffle or tea tent, help to set up for the day, or be a true hero and come help us clear up at the end of the day! We are always looking for donations for these days whether that is small items for our tombolas or delicious cakes for the tea tent.
  • Help run a stall at one of the many external events we attend each year.
  • Thanks to the support of our fundraising partners such as Pets at Home, we have several collection days throughout the year and we always need help. It is likely you will need transport and you may be able to take an Appledown dog along with you. For insurance purposes, you are not allowed to take your own dog. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for opportunities or email the fundraising team.

RUN YOUR OWN EVENT

There are lots of ways you can run your own event and raise money for us whether it’s a sponsored silence, a cake sale or setting up a birthday fundraiser on Facebook. We have online facilities for receiving money and we can provide sponsor forms if needed.

BUY AT OUR SHOP

We have a small but packed shop onsite at Appledown. It sells a huge range of collars, leads, harnesses, toys, bowls, coats and more. Pop in and have a look (open 10am – 1pm and 2pm – 4pm) or check out our Facebook-based auction page which is used for online sales between auctions.

REMEMBER US IN YOUR WILL

If you care about the welfare of dogs, please consider leaving us a gift in your will. Over the years legacies have enabled us to do so much. Any gift, large or small will be put to great use and what better way to be remembered than helping to save the life of a dog.

Maybe you are an eBay seller? You can donate up to 100% of your funds to us automatically, just search for us in eBay. A seller on Vinted? You can donate to us through that too.
